Have you ever felt like you're doing all the "right things" — taking care of your family, trying to take care of your body, showing up in your faith — yet deep down, you feel a little… lost?

Like somewhere between motherhood, routines, and responsibilities, you misplaced pieces of who God created you to be?

You're not alone.

In this episode, I'm opening my heart and sharing a stirring the Lord has been placing on me for months — a deepening of what wellness truly means as a Catholic woman.

In this episode we'll explore:

✨ What happens when we don't feel connected to our identity ✨ Why body peace starts with knowing who we are in Christ ✨ How God nudges us into new seasons — even when they feel scary ✨ The moment with her daughter that made her realize she had to say yes to God, too ✨ What's shifting on the podcast (and why it's so, so good)

This isn't a change in direction — it's an expansion into whole-person wellness: mind, body, and soul.

For the woman learning to make peace with food and the woman asking "Lord, what now?" — this space is for you.

If your heart feels stirred listening to this episode, you are seen. And you are being called — gently, lovingly — deeper into who you were made to be in Him.

Let's walk this together. 💛

💛 If this episode spoke to you, I'd love for you to share it with a friend who might need to hear it too. And if your heart is stirring, send me a message at kara@karatrochta.com — let's talk about what God is placing on your heart and how you can say yes to Him in this season.

00:02:48
Welcome to Nourish to Bloom, where every day is a sacred

00:02:52
invitation to thrive. Hey there. Welcome

00:02:55
back to the Nourish to Bloom podcast. So happy to

00:02:59
be spending some time here with you this week. And

00:03:04
I'm going to start today with something that is

00:03:07
brutally honest and a little bit vulnerable, if

00:03:11
I'm being honest. So if you've been

00:03:15
listening here the last few months, you know that I've been doing a lot of

00:03:18
series on this show. And part of that was

00:03:22
because I kind of felt like it would make things easier to figure out

00:03:26
what to talk about every week on the podcast. And

00:03:30
I think while they have been helpful and really, you know, full of

00:03:33
good information, I will be really honest with

00:03:37
you when I say I've been feeling a little disconnected from

00:03:41
the content that I've been sharing. I feel like there's only

00:03:45
so many five practical tools that

00:03:49
you can use for anything, right? And I,

00:03:53
like I said, it's not because I don't think that

00:03:57
this series or the content isn't meaningful or it

00:04:00
isn't needed. I believe in the message and what I'm

00:04:04
sharing, but it's really because honestly, like, I felt like I was just kind

00:04:08
of going through the motions a bit. Like, I didn't really,

00:04:12
like, feel connected or

00:04:16
moved. Right. There's been so many seasons on the podcast where

00:04:19
I've shared what the Lord has been putting on my heart.

00:04:23
Like, sometimes he gives those things to me last minute. I know I've shared that.

00:04:27
Where it's like, it's Monday. I gotta record, and I have

00:04:30
no idea what I'm going to say. And the Lord puts it in my

00:04:34
lap right through scripture or through something I heard at Mass.

00:04:38
And I love those messages. Like, I love them because I

00:04:42
know that they are timely. Like, they're messages where I really

00:04:45
feel the Holy Spirit move. Like, not just for me,

00:04:49
but I pray for you, too. And

00:04:53
I share this because lately

00:04:57
I've really been in this internal battle,

00:05:01
and I feel like the Lord has been stirring something in me again.

00:05:05
And I have been resisting it

00:05:08
because it feels new, it feels big,

00:05:12
it feels scary. I have all these thoughts come up.

00:05:16
Like my listeners are going to think I'm completely switching things up.

00:05:20
What if this throws people off? But here's the truth.

00:05:23
Like, I really don't think it will. I think

00:05:27
that this is the natural evolution of

00:05:31
the podcast. I feel like it's the natural evolution of.

00:05:36
Of my coaching business. It's the natural evolution of where

00:05:40
I really think the Lord is calling me

00:05:44
to help women. And I think

00:05:47
that you're ready for it. I think that the podcast is ready for the transition.

00:05:52
And honestly, I, I think I am. I am too.

00:05:55
It's going to be hard. I, I won't lie, it's going

00:05:59
to feel uncomfortable. But I think that

00:06:03
this is really where the Lord has been gently, and maybe sometimes not so

00:06:07
gently, pushing me toward expanding the podcast and my

00:06:11
coaching beyond just intuitive eating

00:06:14
and physical wellness. So let me be

00:06:18
clear. I'm not abandoning that work, never that.

00:06:22
But this is really about a bigger deepening

00:06:26
of this work, of, of

00:06:30
what coaching work looks like. And I think, like, this is this

00:06:34
evolution of rooting it in something that's even more foundational.

00:06:39
Because here's what God has been showing me for

00:06:42
the number of years that I have been coaching

00:06:46
women on intuitive eating and helping them heal their relationship with

00:06:50
their food and their body. The

00:06:54
kind of, the commonality that I'm seeing is that

00:06:58
so many of our struggles with food and

00:07:01
our body, the struggles with confidence, the struggles

00:07:05
with self worth, with decision making, with our

00:07:08
purpose, they all trace back to this

00:07:12
deeper problem. And that deeper problem is

00:07:17
really not knowing who God created, created

00:07:20
us to be. When we don't know our

00:07:24
deep rooted identity, we start to chase the wrong solutions.

00:07:28
And I say this because I did this for many, many years.

00:07:32
We think that peace will come with a smaller body or if we

00:07:36
have more control over situations, if our house is

00:07:39
cleaner, or if we're doing life like someone else is doing it.

00:07:44
But the real freedom, the real

00:07:48
wellness comes when we know who we are in Christ,

00:07:52
when we trust who he's calling us to become.

00:07:57
And when we stop asking, how should I look? And really

00:08:00
start asking, lord, who did you make me to be?

00:08:05
And your identity, that God given identity is always going

00:08:09
to lead you to wholeness, mind, body

00:08:13
and soul. And y', all, that is real Catholic wellness. When

00:08:17
we are looking at our wellness

00:08:21
as a whole person, perspective, mind, body and soul,

00:08:25
that it is integrated and that it is deeply

00:08:28
rooted in our, in our identity.

00:08:32
And, and I say this because God's really held up a mirror to me here

00:08:36
lately. Recently, my daughter had a moment where

00:08:40
she really wanted to give up on this dream that she's had since she was

00:08:44
3 and that to be a charm, which is

00:08:48
the high school dance team. And we were

00:08:52
having this conversation after a really tough day after a

00:08:55
dance clinic. And she really struggled with the

00:08:59
choreography and keeping up. And she said, maybe I'm just not

00:09:02
good enough. She actually told someone we saw that afternoon

00:09:06
that she just didn't know if she wanted to do it anymore. And

00:09:10
I saw this as a huge red flag because she has

00:09:14
wanted this for so long. And she hit

00:09:17
this vulnerable point and the enemy starts

00:09:21
to make her doubt her ability.

00:09:25
And I sat there telling her, look, you can let this be the moment

00:09:29
you give up because it's hard, or instead you

00:09:33
can see this as God revealing where you can grow.

00:09:37
Maybe he's showing you this now, he's showing you your

00:09:40
weaknesses or, you know, the, the things that you need to

00:09:45
because he's wanting to prepare you for what's ahead.

00:09:49
And y', all, I've replayed these words over

00:09:52
and over and over again because it keeps hitting me like

00:09:56
I am a hundred percent that pot calling the kettle black.

00:10:01
Because God has really been nudging me in that same way. And I have been

00:10:04
hesitating, I have been dragging my feet. I keep saying, lord, I don't

00:10:08
know how, Lord, I don't know how to bring these things together.

00:10:11
Like, guys, this has probably been a. Back and forth battle for well

00:10:15
over a year. How I bring this, this

00:10:19
desire, this passion that I have to help women

00:10:23
really rediscover their identity to know what the Lord

00:10:26
is calling them to and to, like, couple that with everything from

00:10:30
intuitive eating and that food

00:10:33
and body relationship. And like, it becomes just this thing

00:10:37
that, like, I just stay frozen in fear. I have all these

00:10:41
ideas that come and yet I never do anything.

00:10:45
I just shrink back when what he's doing is trying to

00:10:49
call me forward. And

00:10:53
I will say, it's hard, it hurts. I hate being in this back and forth.

00:10:57
I hate being in this internal battle of, like, what do I do

00:11:00
when I really and truly know deep down that the Lord is calling me to

00:11:04
pursue this, that he wants me to take and evolve my

00:11:08
coaching to really help you with, with your identity

00:11:11
and your passion and your purpose and your mission.

00:11:15
And so again, he provides the things that I need

00:11:19
and he. And he shows me. I mean, my prayer has been,

00:11:23
lord, like, how, how am I going to do this? How do I take all

00:11:26
these ideas? How, how am I going to execute this, Lord, is this going to

00:11:29
lead to any clients? Like these, these fears and these, these

00:11:32
thoughts just run rampant. And then if

00:11:36
you fast forward to this morning, I was reading the mass readings for

00:11:40
today and the first reading

00:11:43
concluded with Romans, chapter 11, verse

00:11:47
36, which goes for from

00:11:51
him and through him, and for him are all

00:11:54
things to God be glory forever. Amen.

00:12:00
And y', all, I hear this at mass every time I go right the do

00:12:03
doxology through him, with him and in him and the unity,

00:12:08
right? Like, I hear this over and over, but it's so funny how

00:12:12
it hits different, like, when you need to hear it different.

00:12:16
And this morning, it hit different, and it just made it so

00:12:20
clear from him.

00:12:24
This is a calling from God. He is inviting

00:12:28
me to step into this, to step

00:12:32
into this evolution of the podcast and of coaching. It is literally

00:12:35
like a gift tag that says to Kara for from God,

00:12:40
right through him. He has been trying to

00:12:45
get it through my thick skull that he's going to guide every

00:12:48
step. He's going to navigate this, every

00:12:52
word, every woman who needs this.

00:12:56
And the crazy thing is, y', all, I have evidence of him working in this

00:12:59
way in so many instances in the past, but I

00:13:03
stopped myself from taking that step. But I know

00:13:06
that when I take the step, he work, he works. He makes those

00:13:10
things happen. But it's like, it's that collaboration, and

00:13:13
it's. You know, there's a saint quote. I'm not

00:13:17
gonna remember who it's from, but it's like,

00:13:21
without us, you know, God cannot right. Like, with and

00:13:24
without him, we cannot right. Like, it's. It's this collaboration,

00:13:29
and then for him, this work, this expansion,

00:13:33
this mission, like, this thing that I really. That he has

00:13:37
prepared me for, that he has put me

00:13:41
in this place to do this specific work. It is all

00:13:45
for his glory. And that's the blueprint.

00:13:48
And, y', all, it's not just the blueprint for me, but it's the blueprint for

00:13:52
you, too, for whatever the struggle is in

00:13:55
your life right now. It's from him, through

00:13:59
Him. And for him, it's not complicated,

00:14:03
and it's not overwhelming. It's just being

00:14:07
obedient to the Lord. It's loving the Lord through our

00:14:10
obedience. And so here's what this

00:14:14
means for the podcast and coaching moving forward.

00:14:18
The podcast isn't becoming something different. It's really just

00:14:22
becoming something fuller. It's not

00:14:25
me stepping away from what we have

00:14:29
explored from a wellness perspective so far or

00:14:32
from intuitive eating. It's just me

00:14:35
deepening what wellness means. Because

00:14:39
the more I do this work, the more I realize that so many of us

00:14:42
think our struggles will just disappear if we can just lose the weight,

00:14:46
if we can just fix our routines, if we can just finally get

00:14:50
it together. We think that clarity and confidence

00:14:54
and joy and fulfillment will come after we fix

00:14:58
our bodies or fix our

00:15:01
homes or, you know, just do whatever this

00:15:04
influencer is doing. But really, that root

00:15:08
of so much of our struggle is an identity struggle.

00:15:12
Not knowing who God created us to be, not knowing

00:15:15
what he's calling us to, not knowing how he sees

00:15:19
us. And when we're unsure of who we are,

00:15:23
we end up trying to borrow someone else's plan, someone

00:15:26
else's life, someone else's measure of success.

00:15:30
And it leaves us striving, exhausted and

00:15:33
feeling like we're never enough.

00:15:38
But when you know who you are, truly in

00:15:41
Christ, everything is going to shift. You're going to

00:15:45
show up differently, you're going to make decisions differently,

00:15:49
you're going to take care of yourself differently. Not

00:15:52
to earn any sort of worth or dignity because you already have

00:15:56
it, but so you can fulfill that

00:16:00
mission that only you were created for. In this moment

00:16:03
in time, y', all, the Lord needs you to know who you are

00:16:07
and needs you to step into your mission

00:16:10
wholeheartedly, now more than ever.

00:16:15
And that is that real beginning of Catholic wellness. A Christ

00:16:18
centered identity is where that whole person health starts.

00:16:22
Mind, body and soul. Who you are

00:16:25
becomes your motivation. You're

00:16:29
not motivated by shame or pressure, not the I

00:16:33
shoulds, but you're motivated by I am

00:16:36
his. And this is how I'm going to live my life,

00:16:40
simply because of that. And so the

00:16:44
podcast and my coaching are just expanding,

00:16:48
expanding beyond only the physical. So this is for the woman

00:16:52
struggling with food and body image, but it's also for the woman who's not

00:16:56
sure what's next in life. For the mom who loves her family

00:16:59
but feels like she's losing herself or feeling like she's called

00:17:03
to something more. The woman who hears the Lord

00:17:07
whispering, you are made for greater things.

00:17:11
And she's asking, okay, Lord, what now,

00:17:15
y'? All? Nourish to bloom and bloom.

00:17:19
Wellness. This is wellness that sees the

00:17:23
whole woman. Your soul, your

00:17:27
dreams, your body, your purpose, your

00:17:30
identity and helping you know that

00:17:34
all of it matters, that all of it is connected because

00:17:37
all of it belongs to him. And so

00:17:41
I'm taking that step and I'm saying yes to

00:17:44
serving you in that fuller way. We will still

00:17:48
talk about wellness. We will still talk about intuitive eating and caring for

00:17:52
your body in a holy and peaceful way. But we're also going to talk about

00:17:56
identity, about purpose and calling dreams and holy

00:18:00
confidence mental and spiritual well being,

00:18:03
reclaiming joy and living as the woman God designed you to

00:18:07
be. Because healing your relationship

00:18:11
with food, it's powerful. I've experienced it. But y', all, it's

00:18:14
just one part of God's vision for you.

00:18:18
He wants Your whole heart, your whole life,

00:18:22
your whole flourishing. So here's

00:18:26
what I'm asking you to do.

00:18:29
First, if you know of a woman who may not

00:18:33
be needing to heal. Her relationship with food and her body.

00:18:37
But you know a woman who is struggling with her identity or what the Lord

00:18:40
is calling her to invite her to check out the podcast,

00:18:44
simply share the podcast episode with her. 2.

00:18:48
If you are feeling that tug, if you're sitting here listening and you're like,

00:18:52
all right, yeah, carrot, like, I get what you're saying. This is what I

00:18:55
need. And whether what you need is to find peace with food

00:19:00
or clarity in your calling, I would love to be

00:19:04
the person who walks that with you. So all you have to

00:19:07
do is email me@karaharatrochta.com

00:19:12
and all it is is a simple conversation to explore what God

00:19:16
is asking of you in this moment. What are the things, the nudges that he's

00:19:20
putting on your heart? And how can you find some

00:19:23
clarity? How can you step into it with confidence

00:19:27
and grace? I

00:19:30
thank you so much for spending this time here with me. I thank you so

00:19:34
much for letting me bear my soul. I cannot explain to

00:19:38
you enough how much this type of work lights me

00:19:41
up because I think it is so needed in our world. I

00:19:45
think the more women who know their identity, who know what the Lord is

00:19:49
calling them to, I can just see

00:19:53
woman after woman boldly and confidently

00:19:58
fully living their life for the Lord. And I want that for you.

00:20:04
So, again, thank you for joining me here on the podcast. Just

00:20:07
a little taste of how things are transitioning and growing

00:20:11
deeper and expanding. So I hope you'll continue to tune in

00:20:15
every week. And remember, beauty held is the seed, beauty

00:20:19
shared is the flower. It is your time to bloom.

00:20:22
I'll talk to you soon. Take care. Bye.
