[00:00:00] So you may have said at one point in your life that you've given up on dieting or you may truly believe that the way you are eating the habits that you have isn't really a diet.

[00:00:13] But like I've said before, many people these days don't believe that the food rules they are following are really a diet but the reality is that diet culture is smart and sneaky and keeps up with the times.

[00:00:29] Chances are, the way that you're eating is actually rooted in a diet culture way of thinking. It's just been dressed up and disguised so you can't see it for what it really is.

[00:00:40] Just remember that any thoughts that center around losing weight or changing your body even in the name of health usually leads to diet like behaviors. The restriction, the rigid food rules, labeling foods, good versus bad, feeling guilty about what you eat and the list goes on.

[00:00:58] We call this pseudo dieting or unconscious dieting. I really like to call it dieting in disguise because they can be really hard to recognize. It's like in Matthew chapter 7 verse 15, when Jesus warned of the wolf dressed up and sheaps clothing.

[00:01:15] We need to be aware of these diet like behaviors and thoughts that keep us stuck in a diet culture traps and lies.
