In this episode of Nourished to Bloom, we dive deep into the truth of God's word to break free from the lies of diet culture. Diet culture teaches us that we must be thin to be healthy and that happiness is tied to our body image. But true freedom begins with a renewal of the mind, grounded in God's truth.

Join me as I expose two common lies perpetuated by diet culture and replace them with the truth from Scripture. We'll discuss how diet culture's obsession with weight overlooks our true health—our souls—and how Christ, the Divine Physician, provides healing for both body and soul.

Key Takeaways from the Episode:

  • Renewal of the Mind: True freedom from diet culture starts with renewing your mind through God's word, replacing worn-out beliefs with His truth (Ephesians 4:23).
  • Lie #1 - You Have to Be Thin to Be Healthy: Diet culture equates health with weight, but Jesus, the Divine Physician, prioritizes the health of our souls and teaches us that our true healing lies in Him, not in body size.
  • Lie #2 - Being Thin Will Make You Happier: Happiness is not dependent on external appearances. True joy comes from a relationship with God, who offers unconditional joy and love, regardless of our body shape.
  • Spiritual Warfare: Diet culture is a tool of the enemy, designed to distract us from what truly matters—our relationship with Christ. Arm yourself with Scripture to recognize and overcome these lies.

If you've felt worn out or broken by the lies that dieting holds over you, this episode will empower you to reclaim your freedom through faith. Together, we'll uproot these lies and replace them with God's timeless truth, leading us closer to Him and further from the distractions of worldly ideals.

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to Nourished to Bloom, where every day is a sacred invitation to thrive.

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Hey there, welcome back to another episode of the Nourished to Bloom podcast.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_00]: I am so happy to be here with you today as we talk about the renewal of the mind

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_00]: and how it can help us be able to uproot lies from the enemy and break unwanted habits.

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I love this topic, I feel like this is kind of one of my jams, really this mindset piece and this

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_00]: mindset work. And I think I love it so much because it is in so many ways so practical and

[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_00]: once you learn this, it's like this secret like, wait a minute, it's this easy? Or

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_00]: why has nobody told me this? And so I'm so happy to be able to share this little secret of the renewal

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_00]: of the mind with you. But I want to start off first with a bit of scripture from Ephesians chapter

[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_00]: 4 verse 23, be renewed in the spirit of your minds and put on the new man created after the

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_00]: likeness of God and true righteousness and holiness. This is so hopeful. This is telling

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_00]: us that we can be a new creation, a holier creation by renewing our minds. And I was a little bit

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_00]: curious about the word renewal, like what does it really mean? You know, you tell somebody,

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_00]: renew your mind, renew your mind and you're like, okay, that's great. But like, what does that

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_00]: really mean? And looking at renewal in the dictionary, it says that it's the replacing

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_00]: or repair of something that is worn out, run down or broken. I mean, that kind of hits

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_00]: the nail on the head right there. Like how many of us feel worn out, run down or broken

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_00]: things to diet, culture lies or these unwanted habits and behaviors that we have. I mean,

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I know I definitely was at one time. But this idea of renewal gives us hope because God's word,

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_00]: like God's truth, when we can be able to distinguish that from the lives of the enemy,

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_00]: it will help us to replace and repair our brokenness, making us new and whole again.

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's just so beautiful. I love, I love, love, love like looking up words and seeing what

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_00]: they mean and being able to just, you know, get deeper and then, and even just so many words

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_00]: giving us messages of hope if we just take a little bit of time to look at them and study

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_00]: them a little bit more. So I thought that was really cool looking up the definition of what

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_00]: renewal was. And now you may say like, Kara, this is all well and good. Like, I'm 100% and right,

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_00]: like, I want to renew my mind. I want to replace and repair this brokenness that I feel. And yes,

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_00]: I want to do it with God's help. But like, how am I supposed to do this? And it's funny

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_00]: because when I learned that your thoughts dictate your emotions, which determine your actions and

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_00]: therefore the results or the behaviors, the habits you have. We call this the reason cycle,

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_00]: or I've called it the mind map before, but I was so surprised at how really simple it is.

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Thoughts create feelings, which create actions, which create habits in your life or results.

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's just like, whoa, that's so simple. We can like,

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_00]: plug and play these different things in there and be able to figure out, you know,

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_00]: some of these things that are going on in our life. But it seems like society really is the one

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_00]: who's trying to complicate the solutions, telling us that we need this or that miracle

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_00]: product or method. But the reality is, and I think this is beautiful, is that when you are

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_00]: close to the Lord and you're leaning on him to work in your life, when you're collaborating

[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_00]: with him every day, it's like then the solutions you are looking for are actually pretty simple.

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Like his solutions come from his guidance and grace in our lives. And the cool thing is,

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_00]: is that by better understanding how our minds work and by having a deeper mind-body connection,

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_00]: we can start to see how we already had the solutions that we needed. They were ready made for us.

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like almost as if he knew there would come a time in our life that we were struggling with

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_00]: something and that we would need this particular solution. Like, if we think about it from an

[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_00]: intuitive eating perspective, like how beautiful it was that we were designed to be able to

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_00]: rely on those internal cues of hunger and fullness to help us be able to know how much to eat and

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_00]: when to eat. And it's just like with this renewal of the mind, right? By being able to understand

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_00]: how our minds and our bodies operate starting first with our thoughts, it helps us be able to

[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_00]: tap into that solution. Like the renewal of our minds allows us to discover his divine

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_00]: solution. And it starts with being able to recognize that difference between the lies of the enemy

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_00]: and the truth of God's Word. And I like to think about this as really like kind of a twofold

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_00]: process. The first being a preventative approach, a preventative measure. And this means like

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_00]: we are trying to create this layer of protection. We're building this firewall by

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_00]: saturating our minds daily with God's truth, by reading scripture, by studying the lives of saints,

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_00]: by spending time and prayer with him. Because we are ultimately responsible for filtering what we

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_00]: allow into our minds and how we are nourishing our minds. So if we are constantly nourishing

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_00]: our minds with God's truth, it's as if we put this firewall up so to speak around our minds.

[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Like we're being able to detect when lies are trying to penetrate. And secondly, the second part of this

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_00]: is knowing how to deal with the lies of the enemy if they have somehow gotten past these

[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_00]: protective barriers that we've created. Because inevitably it does happen. Like we know the enemy

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_00]: is sneaky and we are engaging in spiritual warfare every day with his constant changing

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_00]: tactics. And sometimes we end up being blindsided despite our best defensive measures. So when this

[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_00]: happens, it is being able to distinguish that difference between those voices of the thoughts

[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_00]: and the beliefs that are running through your mind. And one way that we can do this is really

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_00]: examining the tone of that thought. Is this thought or is this belief condemning? Is it

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_00]: leading us to sin or feelings of guilt or shame? And does it point us back to the Lord?

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Is it leaving us feeling hopeless or hurt? You know, if it's really any of those, then we can

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_00]: start to distinguish that this is a lie of the enemy. And from there, we are able to take

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_00]: kind of that, you know, defense mechanism that we put up and we're able to seek out God's truth

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_00]: to help us choose what is good and holy. And I think it's beautiful to reiterate that we have

[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_00]: this solution inside of us. It's like we were pre-programmed with this,

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_00]: like, I'm going to maybe age myself here, but like with a control all delete to reset, right?

[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Or it's like we were built with this virus scanner, this virus repair software that

[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_00]: when we have this lie of the enemy, we know how to attack it and we know how to repair it. We know

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_00]: how to renew it through that renewal of our minds and inhaling what has been damaged or broken or

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_00]: is worn out. And so today I really want to take this idea of renewal of the mind, take this

[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_00]: idea of being able to distinguish the voice of the enemy from the voice of God's truth

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_00]: and really look at it to examine two of the really common lies of diet culture that I think a lot of

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_00]: women believe and then be able to help point you towards God's truth to help arm you for when these

[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_00]: diet culture thoughts may sneak up in your life. So the first lie is you have to be thin to be

[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_00]: healthy. Diet culture and unfortunately our current health care approaches have made you

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_00]: believe that your health status directly correlates to your weight. This also promotes an assumption

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_00]: that weight loss is possible for everyone if you simply watch what you eat, cut back and exercise

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_00]: more. And if you do all of those things and you're able to lose weight, then your health status

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_00]: should improve. That is not always the case. Weight loss is not always possible for everyone

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_00]: and it is not directly correlated with a better health status. I want you to remember that diets

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_00]: fail 97% of the time, meaning that most people who engage in dieting and weight loss efforts gain

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_00]: back the weight that they lost within a two-year period. So I want you to take a minute and

[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_00]: think about that. Any medication that had a 97% failure rate would never be allowed to hit the

[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_00]: market. That's like going into your doctor's office and they prescribed you a blood pressure

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_00]: medication with a 97% failure rate and said, here take this. Like I know it's not really going to

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_00]: work but just try harder and maybe it will. It's kind of silly when we really stop and think

[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_00]: about it but the enemy working through diet culture is really sneaky and it's made things like

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_00]: very confusing. It's put a lot of gray areas into a lot of this and so it's really important for us

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_00]: to look at what God's truth is on this one and it is that Jesus is the divine physician.

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_00]: We need to put our healing and our health in his hands. In scripture he says those who are well do

[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_00]: not need a physician but the sick do. It's in Matthew 9 too. He came to be our physician and he works

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_00]: with us to ensure our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being because he knows that

[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_00]: all of that is necessary and vital to live out his calling in each of our lives and for us to be

[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_00]: his hands and his feet and doing his work during our time here on earth.

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_00]: But we spend so much time on our physical health trying to get skinnier, trying to have

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_00]: a body that looks a certain way or trying to lose weight because we're thinking that it's

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_00]: going to help improve our health status but what ends up happening is our health often suffers in

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_00]: other areas. Unlike diet culture and society, Jesus is most concerned with the health of our souls.

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_00]: His top priority is our eternal health, our salvation and this should also be our top priority

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_00]: when it comes to our health. We are all sickly sinners and the health of our souls should be

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_00]: placed in Jesus's hands. Our most pressing ailment is the need for forgiveness of our sins

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_00]: because this is what allows us to be reborn and to renew ourselves to be able to reach

[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_00]: our goal of union with God in heaven and when we go to the divine physician,

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_00]: grace is his anecdote. That is his divine medicine. Jesus also points us to practical ways to care

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_00]: for our souls. It's like a healthy soul means a healthy mind and a healthy body and

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_00]: points to health period but these practical ways that he shows us through scripture in being able

[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_00]: to care for our souls, it's almost like preventative health care measures and he gives us instructions

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_00]: on how to be more like him. He gives us these instructions through the commandments, through

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_00]: the Beatitudes, through the maxims and the parables that he gives us because each of these show us

[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_00]: how to live a virtuous life, how to care for our soul and to have a healthy soul so we are

[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_00]: in turn healthy but when this lie from the enemy states that we need to be thin or we need to look

[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_00]: a certain way in order to be healthy, we need to remember that our Lord tells us that true health

[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_00]: comes from the health of our souls, from that cleansing of our souls and taking that to him

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_00]: to allow ourselves to be renewed in him through his grace and his forgiveness

[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_00]: and we need to ask ourselves when these lies pop up if focusing on this particular thought of I

[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_00]: need to be thin to be healthy leads us closer to the Lord or does it keep us distracted from

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_00]: what he says is important? We can also see throughout scripture Jesus healing the physical

[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_00]: ailments of several people. He does care about the state of our physical bodies

[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_00]: because he knows that our bodies are the home for the Holy Spirit living in each one of us

[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_00]: and physical wellness is necessary to do his will but there is no weight requirement required

[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_00]: so let's not be confused by the lies of the enemy stating that our health

[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_00]: is dependent on specific appearances or unreliable tools like BMI.

[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, lie number two being thin will make you happier. This lie from the enemy makes your

[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_00]: happiness conditional on something external and places it in the hands of other people

[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_00]: and how others look at or treat you based on your body appearance

[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_00]: or how you believe others are treating you based off of your body appearance

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_00]: but this robs you of experiencing joy and happiness that is always available to you from the Lord

[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_00]: 100% of the time and 100% unconditional on your body appearance. This also further promotes a lie

[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_00]: that we aren't good enough or we're not worthy enough if our bodies don't meet a certain

[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_00]: criteria but this doesn't line up with the truth of having our identity rooted in Christ.

[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_00]: We are God's creation we are created in his likeness and his image. We were born with

[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_00]: dignity and it is not something that has to be earned he loves us and he created us worthy no

[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_00]: matter the size of our body or any other social ideal that we are trying to live up to.

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Psalm 16 verse 11 tells us you make known to me the path of life in your presence there is fullness

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_00]: of joy at your right hand our pleasures forevermore. This is God's truth about happiness.

[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_00]: This verse expresses the idea that true joy is found in God's presence and God's presence is

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_00]: everlasting. We don't have to schedule a meeting time with him we don't have to wait for him to get

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_00]: off work we are able to be in the presence of the Lord 24 7 365 and in this presence being connected

[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_00]: with him being in relationship with him he shows us the path in our life that leads to happiness

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_00]: and promises us that with him there will be an abundance of joy and pleasure.

[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_00]: It is through this relationship with the Lord that we are able to find that joy and happiness

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_00]: that so many are longing for. Like it's really difficult for me to put it into words but

[00:19:08] [SPEAKER_00]: now that I'm no longer falling for so many of the enemy's lies that are presented through

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_00]: diet culture other social societal ideals ideals that I spent so much of my life like trying to

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_00]: meet or measure myself by like my attitude and my outlook is so much more positive

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_00]: like even if things are challenging or something's not going my way like the

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_00]: life outbreak in my kids class like that was a fun email to get this morning I don't have that

[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_00]: downward spiral anymore. I'm not lashing out to my husband or my kids because there's just like this

[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_00]: darkness or this storm swirling inside of me of this noise from the enemy that

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_00]: just was constantly beating me up day in and day out about you're not good enough you need to

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_00]: lose weight you need to do this you are not worthy you should try this you should be more

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_00]: like this person blah blah blah blah it's like there was this internal battle always going on

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_00]: and it's like been able to say like enough it's like I spent so much of my life trying to lose

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_00]: weight but that actually just created this heaviness on me and since being able to

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_00]: let go of that being able to understand how much of what I was doing was living within the lies

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_00]: of the enemy and now that I've been able to you know really renew my mind it's like there's this

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_00]: ultimate weight that has been lifted I'm no longer dragged down I'm no longer reaching for

[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_00]: things like food or alcohol or scrolling to try to make me just feel better like

[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_00]: I feel better because I have oriented my mind and I have oriented my life to Christ

[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_00]: and it's a sense of the Lord being right by my side and knowing that I'm not alone in any of it

[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_00]: and because of that I'm not letting any of these tangible things or specific outcomes determine

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_00]: if I'm happy or if I'm in a good mood today and like I also just want to take a moment

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_00]: and point out that Christian happiness can never be associated with anything tangible or any certain

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_00]: status like think about it there are plenty of skinny and plenty of quote unquote healthy people

[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_00]: walking around this earth that are not happy just like we all probably know someone who has

[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_00]: experienced you know really terrible health struggles like maybe cancer or other sorts of

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_00]: diseases and they've approached their condition with joy I my aunt went through a breast cancer

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_00]: diagnosis and gosh I just remember feeling so inspired and uplifted by her journey

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_00]: and going through something that was so difficult because she just she went through it with so much

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_00]: joy and so much trust in the Lord like she was engaged in having him and being in his presence

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_00]: and that just made her her fight so so different but why like why do we see people who it doesn't

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_00]: even have to be health related but people who experience some of the hardest suffering on

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_00]: earth yet still have unceasing joy it's because they place their happiness with with the Lord

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_00]: they haven't placed their happiness in the outcome of a certain circumstance or situation

[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_00]: and that really shows evidence that it's really a person's thoughts and beliefs

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_00]: about their situation that determines how they will show up and the action they take

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_00]: and kind of what that behavior looks like and I also think if we take a moment and really look

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_00]: at the truth of it we know we know deep down that weight loss or having a certain body type

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_00]: really doesn't make someone healthier or happier but gosh it's just a seat full trick of the

[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_00]: enemy that just does such a good job at keeping us distracted from what's really important

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_00]: but the beauty friend is that I have shown you how you can combat the lies of the enemy

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_00]: and so I want to leave you with something that one of my previous clients shared with me recently

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_00]: about how faith led intuitive eating has affected her her faith she said one of the

[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_00]: best things that she learned from intuitive eating was how to be more aware and and be present in a moment

[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_00]: instead of thinking about the past like reading herself up for what she ate or or how she you know

[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_00]: didn't handle that situation well or whatever or worrying about the future she was able to be

[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_00]: in the present moment and I think that's cool because I think she was obviously in the presence

[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_00]: of the Lord when she is being able to be in the present moment and she has shared that this has

[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_00]: strengthened her spiritual well-being because being present in the moment and being present on a daily

[00:24:53] [SPEAKER_00]: basis allows her to more fully trust in God's plans for her life and I think that's cool

[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_00]: right if we stop and we look at what she shared right thinking about the past or worrying about the

[00:25:09] [SPEAKER_00]: future those are all of those are things we're trying to control but by being present in the moment

[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_00]: it's really gonna allow us to be in his presence and allows for that collaboration and that feeling

[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_00]: of not being on this journey alone and allowing us to be open and be more trustworthy to where he

[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_00]: is guiding us on our daily lives so I just want to thank you for being here with me today and

[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_00]: yeah I really encourage you to share your pod to share the podcast with your friends

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_00]: like I feel very very blessed that God has given me these gifts and given me a platform to share with

[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_00]: others as a way of leading people back to him and I want to just let you know that registration is

[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_00]: open for the Faith-led Food Freedom program you can register at keratrachted.com

[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_00]: slash food freedom you can find the link for that in the show description but it's keratrachted.com

[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_00]: slash food freedom registration is open so the Faith-led Food Freedom program is a 10-week

[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_00]: transformational journey that will take you step by step through the intuitive eating process

[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_00]: in a way that integrates scripture and God's truth and allows us to tap into his human design

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_00]: of our bodies to help you heal your relationship with food and your body.

[00:26:43] [SPEAKER_00]: So the program includes 10 lessons these lessons are pre-recorded like a course and they're kind

[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_00]: of broken down into short videos most of them are not more than 10 minutes so it allows you to

[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_00]: watch videos like as you have time throughout the day so it's very much self-paced the

[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_00]: lessons that the recorded lessons are very much self-paced and these lessons show you

[00:27:08] [SPEAKER_00]: like the practical ways and the tools that you need to become an intuitive eater

[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_00]: and in addition to the course lessons there will be weekly live coaching and Q&A sessions with me

[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_00]: via zoom on Wednesday afternoons at 1 p.m central standard of time for so there'll be one

[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_00]: of those live sessions every week for 10 weeks if you cannot make that live they will be recorded

[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_00]: and you can go back and you can listen to them but this is a time for you to bring your questions

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_00]: or your mindset struggles um to let me help you break through these barriers to help you get

[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_00]: clarity to help you like really have someone hold a mirror up to your mind and see you know

[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_00]: what is the thought that's leading to this behavior what is the emotion that is kind of

[00:28:03] [SPEAKER_00]: wreaking havoc on you but it's it's a way to just get clarity it's a way to bring all of this to

[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_00]: to me and that's how it's just an extra level of of help in you being able to find that food

[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_00]: freedom in a pretty efficient and quick way over the the course of 10 weeks now um I know

[00:28:24] [SPEAKER_00]: some people may think that the coaching piece is not necessary but it is so helpful to have someone

[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_00]: be able to break down what you're going through or give you helpful advice and tips to help you

[00:28:37] [SPEAKER_00]: succeed I just want to reiterate if you're worried about not being able to make these

[00:28:43] [SPEAKER_00]: coaching sessions live they will be recorded and there's a way for you to submit your questions

[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_00]: ahead of time and I would go through and answer any of those questions on on the video and you can go

[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_00]: back and be able to um you know kind of see the answer kind of see the advice and I could work that

[00:29:01] [SPEAKER_00]: work through that with you that way and you also have access to messaging me through our online

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_00]: community um which is another awesome part about this 10 week program um so in these live

[00:29:15] [SPEAKER_00]: coaching sessions you'll be able to connect with other women who are on the same journey

[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_00]: and you get to learn from them as well as be able to get support and love from them along the way

[00:29:25] [SPEAKER_00]: not only in the live coaching sessions but also in our online community so we kick this program

[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_00]: off the week of September 10th which means that you will be finished with a program before

[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Thanksgiving imagine going into the holidays without worrying about gaining weight or the

[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_00]: guilt or the shame of enjoying holiday foods like it also means that by Thanksgiving you will have a

[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_00]: really firm grasp on this intuitive eating thing and it means that you can start the new year

[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_00]: not focused on a weight loss goal like I know that that would be a first for a lot of us

[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_00]: so now is a time to act because I won't be offering this coaching program again until 2025

[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_00]: so if you've been listening to the podcast and you have ever thought man I'd really like to try this
